We had a great stay at De Verdun. The room exceeded our expectations and had everything we needed. The highlight was the delicious breakfast, which included a variety of meats and cheeses. We also appreciated the secure bike storage and the convenience of having a kettle in the room. The location was perfect, with a park nearby and just a short walk to the city center. outstanding value for money.
Hard to think of anything 🤷♀️

Walking distance from centre of Nevers, quite cheap. Wifi internet free of charge.
The room situated in the back of the hotel was quite new and not so bad, the room in the front of the hotel however was very outdated, poor shower, noisy. The hallway and stairs need renovation, which is party started but not finished.

The couple that runs it. She didn't speak English and I don't speak French, but I felt very, very welcome. The cleanliness was wonderful for a weary traveler. Wonderful location.

Good location, friendly service and happy to help. It had everything I needed and I was more than happy with my stay.

The hotel had a fitness room so I could pretend to work out and a patio to store my imaginary bicycle. Also, my pet cat got treated like royalty with his own tree and everything.
So glad that my room was small and suffocating on the upper floor, it really added to the charm of the place.

The room was clean and bright and overlooked the park.
It was higher than I usually pay. The city seems short onhotel rooms. It was the cheapest avilable room I could find online or by walking the streets. There are cheper nice hotels but they were full.

The hotel is conveniently located close to everything, including a very modern large supermarket and the beautiful St Bernadette chapel. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and double glazing to ensure a peaceful night's sleep. The friendly staff provide excellent service, and the breakfast is a delightful spread of homemade bread, pastries, and juices. Guests also rave about the jovial atmosphere and the opportunity to play with the adorable cats that roam the courtyard.
One small drawback mentioned by a few guests is the lingering smell of cats in the lobby.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help with any thing. The rooms were comfortable and private.
There was cheaper breakfasts available in town but it was still an easy system and a good breakfast plus a late checkout is always nice.

large, comfortable room clean and well serviced
Misunderstanding due to limited English spoken by staff - sorted out, though, in an affable manner.

I recently stayed at Hotel De Verdun for a short trip. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk from the old town and facing a beautiful park. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with large beds. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices. The owners were friendly and provided helpful information about the area.

Great location for visiting le espace Bernadette; all the basics were covered - good tourist class hotel
Not a "dislike" but be prepared that there is no elevator and the WC is in the hall, not in each room (nice sink & shower in the room). Staff started out great...the sign out front advertised a "patio", so I went to check it out. The man (operated by a young couple) came to my room a few minutes later to make sure I hadn't gone up the stairs to the apartment above the patio, warning me that it is private. I assured him that I had just gone to see the patio, and that I realized the apartment was private. His attitude toward me was bad after that.

It was located in a very central area accessible to most places i wanted to visit.
The breakfast served each morning was quite meager compared to the amount charged for it. It was difficult to have a shower in the bathtub as there was no curtain and the water went splashing all over the bathroom.

I had a great stay at a hotel in Nevers. The location was perfect, right near a park and close to the old town. The room was comfortable, although the bed could have been better. The hotel had a cozy courtyard where I could relax. The staff were friendly, although there was a language barrier at times. The WiFi was also good. I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel.
